Deputy Inspector General – East Region - State of Tennessee, Office of Inspector General, Criminal Investigations Division
Chad Holman is the Deputy Inspector General-East Region for the TN Office of Inspector General. In this role, he manages a team of investigators and commissioned special agents as they identify, investigate, and potentially prosecute those who commit fraud against the TennCare (Medicaid) system.
Chad is currently enrolled in the Tennessee Certified Public Manager Program through the UT Naifeh Center for Effective Leadership. In 2020, he was selected for and attended the Tennessee Government Executive Leadership Academy.
A Nashville native, Chad began his service-based career in the United States Marine Corps in 1992. In 1996, he became a Police Officer with the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department and gained invaluable experience through assignments in undercover narcotics enforcement, organized gambling and prostitution, adult missing person(s), and cold case homicide investigations.
In May of 2013, Chad left the MNPD and accepted an appointment with OIG, where he has served as a Special Agent, Supervising Special Agent, and currently serves as a Firearms and Defensive Tactics Instructor, and Deputy Inspector General.
Chad resides in Robertson Co, TN with his wife Jill, son Blaine, daughter Lauren, and too many domestic and farm animals to count!
